About Me:
Welcome to the NC Tar Heel Home Based Business. We are Pat and Jim Shelar, from Mills River, North Carolina. Mills River is a small township located in Western North Carolina Tar Heel Mountains halfway between Asheville and Hendersonville. Pat is a native NC Tar Heel from Hendersonville, NC and Jim is originally from Wilkinsburg, PA. Jim is retired from retail sales with Kmart Corporation. After retiring he started his own Home Delivery Service Business. Pat has been in accounting for a number of years and since 1993 has worked at home with her Home Based Accounting Business. She specializes in Small Business Accounting, and working from home provided the opportunity of less overhead. A membership in a Network Club brought new business to her and customers for Jim's Home Delivery Service Business. As work at home business owners it also provided them the opportunity of setting their own hours and controlling time off.

The joy of 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren has enriched our lives with a variety of interests and many opportunities for growth and change. Added to this was the benefit of employment which required travel and moving, to include residing in some international countries, Germany, England, and Panama, and travel to other countries nearby. The children feel their lives were enriched by the overseas tours and being able to visit in other international countries. We did settle in the Augusta, Georgia area for the teen years, which allowed them to finish high school educations and on to the college or university of their choice.

How did you find out about The DHS Club?
Nearing retirement age we realized to continue in the lifestyle we were accustomed to we needed to find something to supplement our retirement income. Making a list of points to help in our choice of an opportunity we could work at home in a new business we looked at hundreds of opportunities. Our search led us to the DHS Club.
