The DHS Club was officially formed and incorporated in the small town of Englewood, Florida in June of 1997 by President & CEO Dick Burke, with its first office being located in a small apartment over his garage in his hometwon of Englewood. Dick worked many hours researching, developing and improving his original ideas of empowering consumers to save money with a unique, international "buyer's club" concept and enabling people to earn extra money and have their own affordable home based business opportunity with a one-of-a-kind Referral and Organizational Marketing Plan.

Soon after Dick started to hire the DHS Club's first employees, the DHS Club moved to a small 1,200 square foot office on Dearborn street in Englewood, Florida and launched the company's first marketing websites during the .com boom. Clubshop.com and dhs-club.com was the first online .com business opportunity and online .com shopping mall combination.

Within a couple years, DHS-Club.com membership numbered in the hundreds of thousands and in May of 2000, the company moved into a 3,400 square foot building, at its current location on Placida Road in Englewood, Florida.

During early 2001, The DHS Club starting adding international stores to the ClubShop.com Online Shopping Mall as well as expanded the number of USA stores available to USA Members.

In July 2001, the DHS Club created a new Online Training Center (e-Business Institute). The e-Business Institute opened the doors to how to market our business opportunity online by providing our our more enterprising Members with bonus online marketing courses. In 2004 and 2005 the e-Business Institute, was expanded to include sales management and director courses.

In May 2002, DHS-Club.com released and test marketed an offline shopping program, using the ClubRewards Card with participating Merchants, so that DHS-Club.com Members can save money and earn Reward Points on their offline purchases with restaurants, grocery stores, florists, salons, car repair shops and many other types of merchants and stores around the world.

In September of 2002, the DHS-Club.com purchased a large parcel of land with a cottage, on a private lake in the Blue Ridge mountains of Tennessee, to create a corporate retreat property. The property has been named "The Retreat at Ducks Nest Lake" and has had many improvements made to it, such as building a log cabin, Lodge and Conference Center. Land has also been cleared to add a number of additional log cabins over the next few years.

In 2005 and 2006, the DHS-Club.com had 12 consecutive months of positive net growth of Members and in sales volume. The first European Business Sales Convention was held in Brussels, Belgium in May of 2006 and the first Italian and Greek Business Sales Training Conferences were conducted in September of 2006. Record sales were seen at the ClubShop.com Online Mall in 2006, with new international ClubShop.com Online Malls being opened in Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Greece, France, Ireland, New Zealand and South Africa.

In December 2006, DHS-Club.com and the ClubShop.com Online Mall were featured on the television show, "The World's Greatest", which was shown on cable networks throughout the United States. The show honored our online mall as the greatest online mall in the world!

In February 2007, DHS-Club.com opened the first Caribbean ClubShop.com Online Mall in the Netherlands Antilles and held its first Caribbean Conference on the island of Curacao. As of January 2008, the ClubShop.com Online Mall has online international malls in Aruba, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungry, Iceland, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of South Korea, Malaysia, Netherlands, Netherlands Antilles, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Suriname, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States and an International Worldwide Mall.
